Moon

Hey, we're Vishal and Kamal.

Almost all AI chat interfaces today are single-player. We've been sharing ChatGPT chats back and forth for months to hack together some kind of multiplayer experience. It works, sort of. But we realized what's actually valuable isn't the AI's output—it's your collaborator's chain-of-thought.

Chat histories are linear, which breaks down pretty quickly. You can't fork a conversation. Can't edit a prompt upstream and watch changes cascade downstream. Can't version your thinking or branch to try different approaches. The tools just aren't built for how we actually work.

So we're building Moon. Think computational notebooks (like Jupyter) meets Git, but for prompts. Write in cells. Reference previous outputs. Fork conversations when you want to explore. Work in private until you're ready to share. When you do share, your collaborators don't just see results—they see your thought process and can pick up where you left off.

Forking, branching, sharing, discovery. We think this is the right frame for multiplayer AI work—not Slack with an AI in it, but something that actually captures the non-linearity of how conversations with AI actually evolve.
